Minolta Hi-Matic F
The Hi-Matic F, is Minolta's 1972 follow up to the Hi-Matic E. I was smaller than the E with a slower lens but also cost less. Sold as a consumer camera.
The F keeps the rangefinder but drops any manual exposure control. The size is very similar to the popular 7sII but with a slower lens and less control. It was also available as the FP (P for professional) in black of course. Because professionals use black, obviously. The only real difference was the addition of a self timer. Because no self-respecting professional would own a camera that couldn't take selfies.
My Take:
Don't pass over the F because it lack the capability of the E or the latter 7sII. It is a well built camera with a clear range finder. The size and weight are very usable. Small but not get lost in your hand small. If having a fully automatic is something you can live with or something you prefer, the F could be a nice option.
I enjoyed it and would put it on the list of one of the better automatic rangefinders. Given the option I'd pick the E or better yet the 7sII, but if you find one at a great price of have one already, don't write it off until you try it.
