Nikon F, the start of something big. With production starting in 1959 and running till 1973, the Nikon F was a camera that redirected photography. The Nikon F started a shift that weakened the German rangefinder grip on the industry and shifted the power to Japanese SLR cameras.

The Contax T was the start of the desirable T line. It launched in 1984 as a ultra compact, high quality, range finder manufactured by Kyocera.

The Olympus Trip 35 was introduced in 1967 and had a heroic run until 1984. Final production was reported at over ten million units.

Introduced about 2001, the Freedom (Riva in some markets) Zoom 115 is consumer grade, point and push, simple. Found at a Goodwill for $2.99 and it showed a roll of film in the window.

The last of the "single digit" OM cameras. The OM-4 was introduced in 1983 and the updated OM-4 Ti (OM4 T in some markets) was introduced in 1986 and sold until 2002. 

Produced from 1957 to 1958, the Canon L3 was the economy version of the Canon L line.

Designed in 1981, the HOLGA 120 S was an unlikely candidate to become such a cult classic.

Canon F-1 was introduce in 1971 as Canon's professional grade answer to the Nikon F series of Cameras. The target was the professional photographer.

The original Diana Camera was produced by the Great Wall Plastic Factory of Hong Kong starting in the early 1960s. This is the Lomography resurrection of the original.

Samsung introduced the ECX 1 in 1994. It was designed by Porsche Design and won some prestigious industry awards when it launched. What were they thinking?

The La Sardina is a toy camera from Lomography. Yes, it does look and feel like a sardine can, just thicker and plastic. It is based on a camera from the 1930 called the Kandor Candid, manufactured by the Irwin Company. So it is a toy camera copy of a toy camera. The original took 127 film but the La Sardina is mercifully, 35mm. 

In 2003 Leica introduced the MP.  The "original MP and MP2" were legendary Leica from the late 1950s based on the M3 and sold as professional equipment. They are some of the most sought after of the Leica M cameras. So naming a modern camera MP and then saying that the MP stands for Mechanical Perfection is confidence bordering on hubris. 

Introduced in 1996 by Contax (actually by Kyocera under the Contax brand), the G2 replaced the two year old G1.

The Demi EE28 is a half frame format camera intoduced in 1967. The EE28 suplemented the Demi line as a less featured version of the Demi EE17 released the year before.

The Ricoh GR 21 was introduced in 2001 and took the GR line to a wide angle with a 21mm lens. It was also the last film version of the much loved GR line. 

Take auto-focus, built in flash and a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens: encase it in a 1980's plastic brick and you have the Yashica TAF. Introduced in 1984 as a premium point and shoot and the start of the Yashica T* line.

The Leica M4-P was the follow up to the M4-2. Production ran from 1981 to 1987 with the majority produced in Midland Canada. 

The Voigtlander Bessa R3a was introduced in 2004. The Voightlander name is used under license by Japanese manufacturer Cosina.  

Introduced around 2005, the Holga 135 and 135 BC are smaller versions of the original Holga 120. They keep the spirit of the original but bring it to the smaller 35mm film format.
